Then, we follow through with our partners to ensure the shared vision of the approved development is delivered as promised and ensure that the community assets remain protected for the lifetime of the community.

When at General Growth Properties, Greg and his team won broad public support and unanimous approval from the Howard County Council for the creation of 13 million feet of transit-oriented, mixed-use development for the revitalization of Downtown Columbia, Maryland. This re-zoning — among the largest in Maryland history — allowed Columbia to re-establish its relationship with the values laid out in master plan developed by James Rouse in the 1960's.
He planned for the preservation of Merriweather Post Pavilion and set in motion it’s transfer from private developer to non-profit local ownership.
Since the early 1990’s Hamm has led the entitlement efforts or pre-development approvals for more than 30 million feet of development in more than 25 separate processes, in four jurisdictions between Virginia and Maryland.
Hamm prioritizes community involvement in the planning and building of developments. Success in advancing the growth of great places requires an inordinate amount of listening and learning from highly informed, educated and passionate parties; residents, leaders, elected officials and members of the counties' staff.
