When at General Growth Properties, Greg and his team won broad public support and unanimous approval from the Howard County Council for the creation of 13 million feet of transit-oriented, mixed-use development for the revitalization of Downtown Columbia, Maryland. This re-zoning — among the largest in Maryland history — allowed Columbia to re-establish its relationship with the values laid out in master plan developed by James Rouse in the 1960's.
